Programs can request to join CPHL at any time. New teams are reviewed only before a season begins. Requests received after a season starts are reviewed for the next season.
Before you apply
- No fee to apply. If the team is accepted, annual dues apply.
- You supply the ice. Teams arrange and pay for all of their own ice time, games and practices. CPHL sets league rules and administers the league.
- Boundaries are set by schools. List every school your team will draw players from. See Teams & Eligibility for roster and districting rules.
- The board decides. CPHL's Board of Directors decides on admission and places teams in divisions. See the 2026 Division Breakdown.
- Staff are cleared before the season. All coaches and staff complete USA Hockey registration, the background check and SafeSport.
Have this ready
- Program name, and team names for each division you're requesting
- Expected player and goalie counts (numbers only, no names)
- The schools your players will come from
- Home rink and where you stand on securing ice
- Contact details for your coordinator and head coach
One request per program.
